What are the membership fees and what do they include?

Membership fees vary depending on what you are seeking. We have Associate memberships right up to full memberships with boat storage. Contact us to find out more!

Can I bring guests to the club? If so, are there any restrictions?

Absolutely! We all bring guests down from time to time as either visitors on the beach or to take out sailing with us. We would love to meet them!

Do I need to own a boat to become a member?

Not at all! Many of our members are simply Associate members, Kayakers, or Kiteboarders. Some of our sailing members don’t even own a boat – they crew for other people who are always looking for people to join them. We just want more people on the water, in more ways, more often!

What facilities and amenities are available for members?

We have a range of things available for members to use, including club SUPs, junior boats and the clubhouse itself – a wonderful base of operations to use for a beach day.

What types of boats are allowed or commonly used at the club?

Any boat is welcome – after all, they weren’t made to eat grass. We have a range of boats and regularly engage in mixed fleet racing. We often see Hobies, Nacras, A classes, Lasers, Corsairs as well as a flotilla of other options. Why not come down and see who your competition might be?

Are there racing or regatta events for members?

We hold club racing every Sunday from October to April, as well as many inter-club events between neighbouring clubs. We also offer regatta opportunities for those who want to test themselves.

Are there opportunities for sailing lessons or training for beginners?

We have a Beginner Sailing Program which is open for kids and big kids alike – no experience necessary, and we provide the boats and safety gear! We also have advanced race training for those who want to step up their game and pursue glory.

How do I apply for membership and what is the approval process?

Contact us for more information! Once we receive your enquiry the committee will discuss it and pass on any relevant fee information to you. We look forward to hearing from you!

What social events or activities does the club offer?

We regularly host and participate in inter-club events, as well as social evenings over Summertime, including Spit Roast dinners, baking competitions, even the odd game of beach cricket too!
